The Red Duke Return's to Obsidian and Chaos.

Chaos lay there for a time before rising to her feet. Blood ran down her neck, onto her breast. She didn't bother to wipe it away.
Looking at Alenos and holding his gaze steadily, Chaos follwed him in his circle, never turning her back on him for an instant.
He was warring with himself still - but he was getting stronger. She could see more of the Alenos she knew in his eyes.
She smiled, a soft, loving and gentle smile.
"You can do it. I know you can. Believe."

Strength..Why did she keep talking about Strength..Alenos growled and pounced for her again, trying to bare her to the ground and in the gesture of a lover hidden beneath the beast sink his fang's into her breast and drink once more.

Alenos armoured weight slammed into her and he scrambled to find a vein in her breast from which to drink, holding her as close as a lover as he fought to drink more of the very woman who was trying to save him from his beastial madness.

Inwardly the human side of Alenos was roaring out with madness at his imprisonment and was trying to force himself to the surface and protect chaos from himself.

Chaos screamed, and snarled, snapping at Alenos angrily. Jumping up, she swiped at him, slapping him around the face for the second time this week. She watched as the blood formed on his lip, but could do no less than he did. Pouncing on him, she cried out with the very need for blood.
Kissing Alenos, she drank thirstily, taking long drafts of blood from Alenos' lip. ANd now she fed from him.

Alenos laughed in her face and raised his hand, slapping her roughly across the cheek and forcing her from him with a rough shove. "You are my prey..you are week..Queen Chaos.." Alenos growl's lustily and drop's into a crouch, had he been wearing anything but armour she would have seen clearly what ever muscle of his body betrated. he was coiled and ready to strike.

His torn and shredded lip leaked blood slowly down into this breastplate as he cuffed at it witht he back of his hand, licking it from his own skin with a soft smile. "You were foolish to release me from my chain's of silver...very foolish..I was not protecting those from the beast, i was caging it within" Alenos laughed hollowly as he looked into her eye's and his changed to a deep and predatory violet purple.

Chaos scowled and jumped, maybe ten or twelve feet in the air. She jumped clear over Alenos and ran - knowing soon he would catch her up.
This wasn't working - another tactic. With a sigh, Chaos sprinted through the hills, her eyes flashing with anger, hatred and something else - fear perhaps? She knew full well that ALenos had the power to kill her at any moment, and that would scare anyone, right?
She shook her head, shaking those thoughts away also. It would not do to think like that at a time like this. She had be strong. For Alenos. And for her life.

Alenos waited for several long and stretching minutes, part of the beast's instinct's taken hold now as he sprint's through the forest after her, making no care to hide his approach. He wanted her to know fear..he wanted her to know he was coming for her...he wanted her to smell his scent on the wind.

"Im coming for you Chaos..Im thirsty for you.." Alenos roar's into the forest as he catches sight of her weaving through the tree's. Alenos speed's through the tree's beside her, moving with a beastial speed and hunger, until he is almost beside her. As she turn's to look at him the flash of fear in her eye's lend's the sanity within him added strength. The humanity within Alenos break's through to the fore, his leg's stop working abruptly and he crashed to the forest floor and lay's there without moving, except for his chest heaving and falling as he curl's up in a ball and cries like a newborn babe.

He had fed from Chaos..He had let himself slip.

Chaos spun on her heal and sprinted back to Alenos. She crouched beside him and cradled him, rocking him and holding his head to her chest.
"Shh, now. It's okay. You're okay. It's all going to be okay." Chaos kissed his forehead and wiped the tears from Alenos' cheek, her heart twisting and her gut wrenching at the pain she felt for him.
She didn't say anything else, just let Alenos cry until he could cry no more. She knew his feeling and knew that no words spoken could ever mend the pain. So why bother?
She once again kissed his forehead and entwined her fingers into his, giving him her strength.
It had worked - better than Chaos had expected. She had given Alenos the strength. But it wasn't all put on. She really HAD felt fear - knowing he could kill her in an instant if her plan didn't work. The look he had seen was not a fake, and he knew it.

Alenos pushed her away weakly and again crawled away from her, clinging to a neearby tree and digging his nail's into the wood roughly, sinking his fang's into the hard oaken trunk so they lodged deep within the wood and stayed there. Now..he was safe..Now he couldn't hard her.

His humanity had come flooding back to him in a rush of emotion, the people he had killed, the women he had drunken from, all those faces rushed through his mind as their death agonies which before had so thrilled him, rushed through his ear's and threatened the very sanity Chaos had fought to gift back to him.

Chaos shrank away as Alenos pushed her, and let him go to the tree. Silently, she rose onto her feet and walked away, returning to the horses within minutes and mounted her own. Turning slowly and trotting away, she left Alenos to his own devices, sensing his need to be alone.
And it hurt, leaving him like that. But Chaos knew him well and could see she wasn't making his pain any easier. It had been time for her to go, and go she did. Right back to where it all started, where her soldiers were loyally waiting for her in silence.

Alenos waited at the tree for several day's as he clung to it through rain, sleet, snow, and all manner of weather's as he dis-assembled his mind and rebuilt it in solitary silence. He had been a beast and now his humanity had taken over. He was Alenos again..the Red Duke was locked further back into his mind and shut their strongly.

Clawing his way free from the tree, Alenos spoke softly. "I am Alenos, Duke of Obsidian..I am not a monster..I am a Vampire..I am a Man..and I live to Serve."

Chaos waited just outside the range by which Alenos would smell her. She waited for days, listening intantly without sleep to hear of any sound of him returning.
She was beginning to lose hope - thinking he had run away forever. Her eyes were drooping, and Chaos had grown thin and gawdy in the last three days. She had not hunted, not fed once, and it had taken it's toll. She was not as strong as Alenos, and though he could survive the elements for days the Queen could not.
Her head fell forward as she fell into black unconsiousness, her weakening resolve to live draining away for perhaps the last time.

Alenos slowly came to himself after stating who he was, and his purpose in his afterlife. Lifting up his helm he set it atop his head, but did not lock it for the first time in a long time. Taking up the chain’s he had previously bound himself with he set them about the base of the tree and walked slowly through the woods.

“I am Alenos...Red Duke of Obsidian...I am not a monster...I will not let it beat me...I will live, I will love and I will laugh...” Alenos say’s out loud as he ghosts through the trees, moving slowly and softly.

Catching a snatch of Chaos scent Alenos and moved through the tree’s slowly towards it, seeing her sunk in and gaunt against the tree, Alenos cried out and had her in his arms in second’s. He was not strong himself, but he could sense her need, her hunger. Teasing her lip’s open he raised his left wrist to his mouth and bit into it savagely, before pressing its bleeding flesh to her mouth. “Drink Chaos...Drink...” Alenos urged her as he cradled her softly.

Chaos drank, but only took a mouthful. She could recognise the taste of Alenos' sweet blood anywhere. Her eyes snapped open and she snatched her head away, wiping her mouth and shaking her head.
"No." It was only one word but it was filled with strength of mind and resolve. She pushed herself to her feet only to stagger back down, her head suddenly spinning.
A soft groan escaped her lips as all that was left of the strength she had gained from the one lone mouthful of blood she had taken left her body. Her arms and legs and head ache dully, and she ad to cose her eyes against the light of they day. Her head fell forward again, resting on Alenos' chest as small and laboured breaths escaped her lips. A whisper:
"Take me home..."

Alenos raised his wrist to her lip's softly and pressed it there knowing she would be unable to taste the sweet and exntoxicating aroma and taste of his blood. "Drink Chaos..You must drink for me..and your own strength.."

Alenos rocked her back and forth lightly and softly as she lay in his arm's, pressing his blood dripping wrist to her lip's in an effrt to make her drink. "I will take you home.I promise i will. but only once your strong enough.."

Chaos snapped her mouth shut and shok her head, her lips pressed together in a thin line. She would never drink from him again. NEVER.
Chaos looked unwaveringly at Alenos, her eyes determined and feirce with love. She let him rock her and smiled, but didn't lose the defiant gleam, somewhere behind her thoughts.
Alenos should knew he wouldn't change her mind and get her to drink. She was strong enough to get home without blood, especially Alenos'

Alenos swept her up into his arm's and started to run, al the while talking to her as if they were alone and talking in the moonlight.

"come on then jinx...tell me how much trouble im in when we get back?"

Chaos let Alenos' take her into his arms and run with her, smiling slyly at his question. She giggled, but groaned as it her head pounded.
She put her hand up and rubbed her temple, closing her eyes tight shut against the pain. Her breathing became shallow as they neared the castle, her head rolling as she slipped back into unconcsiousness.
The pain in her head didn't cease, though. It carried on, like a drum on the very inside of her mind, taking over her entire body. It was like she no longer had control over herself. She began to fit painfully, shaking and spasming in her sleep.
Help me, Alenos. Help me.

Alenos felt her start to fit hard and painfully in his arm's and knew what he had to do, her slipping into unconciousness was a troubling sign indeed and he knew that he had to save her no matter what the cost.

Stopping in a rushed Alenos pries her mouth open and shoves his wrist into the gap, her pearly white teeth biting down hard onto the soft skin of his wrist, causing a strangelled cry from him but knowing that she is getting at least one more strong and full mouthfull of his blood. Holding her jaw closed Alenos pinches her nose too, should she struggle she will have to swallow his blood to be able to breath.

"Im Sorry Chaos..You need my strength..Please..relent.." Alenos whisper's softly as her eye's flash open to look at him "Drink Chaos..please..or i will make you.."

Chaos pulled away, but her weakness drew her back to Alenos' blood like a magnet. She closed her eyes and released his wrist, reaching to his neck - her favourite place to drink from. She painfullly pulled herself up to reach the soft skin, stretched over the jugular vein that Chaos was looking for. Her fangs peirced his skin, though she was as gentle as she could be.
Chaos drank, gently and slowly, careful not to weaken Alenos, and after a few mouthfulls reluctantly pulled away and liked the fresh wound clean. She looked at him, her eyes shining with guilt and regret, and she swallowed, knowing he would more than likely scold her. Looking to the floor, Chaos awaited the telling off that was imminent to come.

Alenos gasped softly as a wave of emotion washed over him, curling a hand to the back of her neck he smoothed it softly and let her drink from him as waves of pleasure washed ofer his muscular frame, a soft and disappointed sigh slipped past his lip’s as she pulled away, his own body leaning forward with her subconsciously in his want for more.
Instead of scolding her..he wished she would continue..She needed his strength and he wanted the thrill of the the feeding now more than ever..

Chaos watched as Alenos sighed, and looked to his neck, the puncture wounds seemingly burning holes in her striking eyes. She hated doing that to him, and wasn't going to take any more, no matter how badly Alenos wanted it. She wiped a droplet of blood from her lips, smudging it down her chin without really realising.
She swallowed again and smiled weakly, nervously pulling at the skirts of her ruined dress, which was torn all the way up her leg, showing a lot of flesh what with the way Alenos was carrying her. She placed a hand over a particularly high bare patch on her thigh, trying to make herself modest, and quietly wondering whether Alenos actually minded the ammount of her body that was on show. After all, he hadn't yet complained.

Alenos had noticed how distressed Chaos dress was looking, and he was enjoyinh the view immensly. Having her so close and the need for her being so great and caged for so long, Alenos ran his hand across the smoothe skin and abruptly stopped it and left it there as he held her as if she weighed no more than a bubble of air.

Alenos breathing became deep and fast, and as he hit the shade of the light it would show a deep and slow blush appearing on his cheek's.

Chaos blushed furiously and bit her lip, wondering what to do now. She placed her hand over Alenos' and smiled shyly, her eyes betraying the emotion she felt for Alenos and the moment they found themselves in. She had never been attracted to him like this, and she felt like a teenage girl again, no longer a Queen.
She whispered, just audible for Alenos' ears.
"Kiss me... please..."

Alenos moved forward and kissed her cheek softly with an evil smile, before starting to run with her again now she was stronger and seeming more herself. "So come on Jinxy, How much trouble am i in for coping a feel of my Queen? and for feeding her my blood..and for kissing her..albeit on the cheek" Alenos smiles openly and warmly at her as he leap's from one rock to the ground beside it. "Let me guess..you musn't do that Alenos..your on a week's guard's duty ALenos...Obey your Queen Alenos.." he laughed as he made a passable immiatation of her voice, distracting her skillfully as he ran throgh the dense folliage with her in his arm's.

Chaos growled gently and laughed.
"Hmmm. No. Cleaning the castle toilets would be a good punishment. That or cleaning the stables. And there's one horse with a particularly upset stomach...." Chaos looked thoughtful and evil, stealing a cheeky glance at Alenos before she let her persona slip and giggled, her voice ringing out musically and bouncing off the bushes surrounding the two.
"And as for having a feel, well.... that might earn you door duty while I'm in the shower, and then cleaning up straight after me for about the next month."
Chaos laughed again and winked cheekily, knowing full well that Alenos knew he'd get away with everything scott free.
